Baby Jackson

My sister had her baby today! Today was actually his due date but it was no easy feat. She went in last night about 5 and it was slow going. Finally about 6 this morning it was time to get him here. Poor kid was turned the wrong way and when they finally got him out the cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times and he was blue and not breathing, the nurses were great and bagged him quickly and he was able to cry. Mel only got to see him for like 30 seconds and they rushed him to the nicu Spencer went with him. Poor Mel just wanted to know what was going on my parents were there too so they could keep her upated. After a few hours he was doing great and they were just monitoring him so she was able to go to the nicu and hold him. Since this afternoon he has been in with them and doing really well. They are going to keep an eye on him for a few days. Mel and Spenc seem to be handling it all really well. It is scary enough when it is your first baby and then to have to deal with all that. We are all just grateful he is here and doing so well!! He is a cutie too! He looks like a Lifferth but they are good looking so that is okay!
Official info: He was born at 7:17AM - 7 lbs 15 oz - 22 inches long

Poor Melly, what a traumatic experience, I'm so glad he's here and doing well now. He is cute, I can't wait to see more pictures!

I will keep them all in my prayers, tell Melly to hang in there for me, and to rest as much as possible while she is in the hospital. He looks really good, for what he has been through.

I am so glad that Jackson is doing okay. It is so scary how things can happen so fast. Thanks for the update! I have been checking to see if there was a baby boy yet, so thanks! How are you guys doing? How are you feeling? We sure miss you guys!!!

Congrats to Melanie! So crazy that our little sisters have babies? Is the legal? Still feels like they should be in about the 6th grade! We love Jan 23rd babies, we have a few of them in our family! So neat! Congrats! Also, I totally know how she feels. The same thing happened to Reed!
