HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO DEAN

June 5th was Dean's 30th birthday. For this milestone I decided to take him on a suprise trip to Atlanta to see the BRAVES! He has been a die hard fan since he was 13 and has seen them play a couple times but had never been to Atlanta! He had no idea it was Awesome, thanks to everyone who helped me pull it off. I didn't tell him until the morning of his birthday when we were parked at the airport. I packed the bags, sent Drew to Evanston, and told him we had to leave at 6am for a birthday surprise. He was a little skeptical he wanted to make sure I was not taking him sky diving or in any small planes, he is not a fan of those. It was great we had a lot of fun. We saw 3 Braves games, went on a tour of the Stadium, went to batting practice, the hall of fame, and saw a little of the city. It was like 90 degrees there, a little hot but compared to our weather it felt nice. We came back on Sunday and had cake and ice cream with his family in Evanston. I know... I know.... I ROCK!

5 Years of Marriage!

We have had a couple of fun weeks. On May 30th it was our 5 year anniversary! We dropped Drew off to my sister (thanks Melly) and took some time for ourselves. We went to Gateway for dinner and some shopping then we stayed at the Grand America, thanks to Legend for the gift certificate. We did not take advantage of the valet parking due to the RAV and its nastiness and annoying alarm but the rest of the stay was Awesome! On Saturday we went through the SLC temple which was cool. I had never been there before for a session so I thought it was cool, a little different, but seeing all the rooms was really cool. Then it was time to get Drew. He had a lot of fun with Mel because I am sure she did whatever he wanted.

I am not really one to share my feelings so I thought I would share a few things I have learned about Dean in 5 years!

1. He is a simple man, who is very easy to please.... dinner, a movie, some time with family he is a happy man.
2. He loves Baseball, either playing it or watching it. He is passionate about the Braves!
3. He never finds it necessary to yell, I am still working on this one...
4. He is very kind and generous.
5. He loves and supports his family from me to Drew to his nieces, nephews, siblings, parents or in-laws.

He has definantly made me a better person in the last 5 years, but there is still more work to be done. To 5 more years... and then some.
